- verb/0 Abbreviation for 'away from keyboard'; often capitalised. Players will type this when they wish their friends to know they have been momentarily interrupted in real life and will not respond for a while (eg. they have an urgent call of nature to make). For non-friends, announcing 'afk' translates to "please kill me at your leisure".
