- noun A MUD2 competition whereby all participants are raised from utter novice to sorc level, and then allowed to beat each other to a pulp. The survivor (there's rarely more than one) gets to keep the persona used. Sorc wars are popular (unless you get knocked out early on) and useful in that they allow players who haven't had magic before to get some idea of what they can do with it. See Wabbit Cup.
