Baby not on board Hat

Baby not on board

Sir: So "Baby on board" signs are to tell ambulance personnel to search for missing infants in the event of an accident (letter, 25 May). Presumably people who sport such a sign in their vehicles remove it whenever they travel with no baby on board. Otherwise, they could end up in an ambulance bleeding to death while increasingly frantic and distressed medics try to find their non-existent tot. I suspect the real reason that many people put this sign in their car is because it means "Proud parent", rather than "Ambulance drivers aren't properly trained."
